UNS S38815 Stainless Steel
S38815 stainless steel is a high-strength, high-corrosion-resistant
stainless steel that is often used to manufacture parts in
high-temperature and corrosive environments. Its composition
includes metal elements such as aluminum, molybdenum, niobium and
titanium, giving it excellent mechanical properties and chemical
stability.
S38815 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance,
especially in high temperature, acidic and chloride environments.
It can withstand high temperatures up to 1000°C and can be used for
a long time in strong acid and alkali environments. These
properties make S38815 stainless steel an important material in the
chemical, marine engineering, power and nuclear industries.

HEAT TREATMENT PRACTICE
Heat treatment is only suitable for specific grades of stainless
steel. When heat treating a stainless the hardening temperatures,
including rate of heating, cooling and soaking times will vary due
to several factors such as the shape and size of each component.

type of furnace, quenching medium and work piece transfer
